The Medina, David J. Nye, Lakewood "MISFITZ"

Hit me, I'm open! The Misfitz! Misfitz Momz! The Misfitz & Misfitzzz Girls! Come on guys get tough!
Alex Marshall, Sean Shuler, Steven Verovich, Andrew Moore,  and Zach Hilko of Medina, Nate Washburn, Cory Ward, and John Kordeleski of David J. Nye and Dan Shady of Lakewood make op the "MISFITZ" team.  The boys got off to a rocky start and were crushed their first game against Denbrook.

They pulled together the second game against Selynma and evened their record at 1-1.

The Misfitz' third game had them opposing the undefeated team from Lakewood Chapter.  The game was intense.  Everyone played well, but Lakewood's talented team ran away with the game setting the Misfitz back to a 1-2 record and a tie for third place.  With only one more game before the playoffs begin the Misfitz must regroup and play hard against Painesville this week.

Painesville walked onto the court and never looked back as they gave our boys a lesson in basketball, enough said!

Our first playoff game was against Selynma.  Medina/Nye pulled together and played well defeating Selynma chapter.  No last place this year!

Having won our first playoff game we had to square off against Lakewood the next week.  Everyone played hard and kept the game to a couple of points through the first half.  Then,  the wheels fell off and Lakewood ran away with a big win.  With one more loss and out for Medina/Nye, we would have to make a come back and beat Denbrook.

Medina/Nye took off with an early lead against Denbrook  The second quarter belonged to Denbrook as they went up by 16 at one point.  We had to re-group at the half.  Medina/Nye came together as a team and pulled the score to within 1 point with just 21 seconds remaining, but Denbrook held on to force us out of the playoffs.

I am so proud of each member of our team.  Week after week,  win or lose, all the other teams had to respect us.  For your hard work, team spirit, and sportsmanship I thank you.

Dad Douglas Shuler
